Mysore Dasara Special
Mysore Dasara is the state festival of Karnataka and is organized every year in Mysore. Mysore is well known for the festivities that take place during the period of Dasara. Numerous cultural events and functions are organized during ten days of Dasara festivities.
On the tenth day, known as Vijayadashami, (this year on 30 sept 2017)the traditional Dasara procession is held on the streets of Mysore. An image of the Goddess Chamundeshwari is placed on a golden howdah on the back of a decorated elephant and taken on a procession, accompanied by tableaux, dance groups, music bands, decorated elephants, horses and camels. The five kilometers long procession starts from Mysore Palace and culminates at a place called Bannimantapa, where the Banni tree is worshipped. The grand and famous elephant parade is locally known as Jumbo Savari.
The Dasara festivities culminate on the night of Vijayadashami with a torchlight parade, locally known as Panjina Kavayatthu.

BOOKING PROCEDURE :
- Advice total numbers of Passengers & cabins required
- To process booking we require Name/Sex/Nationality of all the passengers
- Incase of children below 5 years, forward date of birth
- Booking will be confirmed on receipt of 20% of Ticket Value as advance deposit
- Balance Payment must reach us before 15th Sept 2017 with Passport Copies OR Photo Id Residence Proof
- Booking requerst made after 15th Sept will be confirmed on receipt of one time full value of ticket
CANCELLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS :
- Request for cancellation must be made in writing & acknowledged by us
- If cancellation request received before 15 Sept -Minimum 20% of Ticket Value will be charged as cancellation fee
- If cancellation request received After 16th Sept -Full 100% of Ticket Value will be charged as cancellation fee
- NO REFUND in case of part journey/no show /disembarkation before completion of tour
- Either by Online Credit card Authorization (only MasterCard/Visa accepted)

To issue e-Ticket Travel DOCUMENT :
- Foreign Nationals need to forward Passport Copies of all the Passengers with copy of Indian Visa
- Indians need to forward copy of ANY Govt. Issued PHOTO ID Residence Proof
(viz Passport/ Adhaar Card/Driving License etc ) PLUs Pan Card of person making payment - In case of children< 12 years; we also require date of birth proof
Important :
- The Golden Chariot Train is owned & operated by Tourism Dept. of Karnataka Govt.
- Both onboard & off board services are outsourced to private Hotel Company.
- Royal Indian Trains is authorized Booking Agent of KSTDC-Golden Chariot & our liability is accordingly limited
- Disputes (if Any) are subject to courts of New Delhi only
